Liquid Gold is the Air
by Rosemary Lee and Roswitha Chesher
soundtrack by Graeme Miller incorporating music composed by Terry Mann
LIQUID GOLD IS THE AIR is a three-screen video installation with sound, inspired by the Cathedral of Trees, a magical arboretum planted more than 40 years ago on the exact footprint of Norwich Cathedral and located in the heart of Milton Keynes.
This vibrant and compelling video-work captures the haunting beauty of the tree-scape with fleeting vignettes and distilled moments from the live performance UNDER THE VAULTED SKY created by Rosemary for IF: Milton Keynes International Festival 2014.
Liquid Gold is the Air was commissioned by The Stables for IF: Milton Keynes International Festival 2014 and supported by an Arts Council England Exceptional Award and Milton Keynes Council.

Rosemary was last in Derry to create and present Without, a seven screen installation capturing a spectacular panoramic view and intimate portrait of the city and its inhabitants, a piece commissioned by Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company for the City of Culture 2013.
Rosemary will talk (with illustration) about her work in dance and movement over the last 30 years, touching on her desire to reach different audiences, to work in very varied contexts from urban to woodland, portrait to landscape, and ponder on the challenges and delights of working on large scale participatory projects.
