In the last few festivals we have organised sessions where anyone interested can discuss some issues or themes related to dance and performance. These sessions have been very useful and interesting. They have included participants with a background in dance and performance, audience members and artists from other disciplines. We make the event quite informal and easy-going and it happens in the comfortable reception space/ living room at Echo Echo Studios.
The format will be a short introduction, framing the theme for discussion, followed by an opportunity to share and discuss in small groups before returning to the bigger group to share and reflect further. We provide light refreshments for participants. The ground covered in the two sessions will no doubt overlap a bit, but you can attend one or both.
