One woman's personal story meets another woman's story. The encounter brings with it curiosity, tension, pain, questions of trust, closeness, presence and common prayer. The language of the dance combines ethnic elements and contemporary dance. The piece draws inspiration from Jalal Rumi's sentence - "Out beyond ideas of wrong and right there is a field, I’ll meet you there."
The opening of the performance is an intimate meeting with the audience where we share the story of how we met and invite all for a short sequence of breathing and movement to increase the frequency of togetherness and setting intentions.
The creation seeks to meet diverse societies and influence within them.
The duet was previously performed at the National Body Festival and received high praise.
