About
Derry Sound Factory was established by Rob Casey and Peter O'Doherty to provide a local platform for new and experimental music and sound art.
If you are interested in performing, working together with other artists or simply inquisitive and interested in hearing new and experimental music, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
There are a few free slots for the next session on Wednesday 9th of February so please let us know if you would like to take part.
Artists and performers with any level of experience are invited to join, from any relevant practice, including but not limited to:
- 20th/21st century instrumental music
- free improvisation
- sound poetry
- laptop performance
- circuit bending
- analogue electronics
- live-coding
- turntable performance
- Fluxus
- noise
Derry Sound Factory is a partnership between Northern Lights Project and Ulster University.

Covid-19
While Covid-19 restrictions have been relaxed we continue to recommend a range of safety measures at Echo Echo Studios and we ask you to follow them closely.
- Please wash hands often and use hand sanitizer stations
- Please feel free to wear a mask on the premises if you wish
- Stay home if you have any Covid-19 symptoms - a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; loss of taste or smell.
- Pay in advance online if possible
- Please support us to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Please be patient with our staff, artists and volunteers
- Echo Echo will not be asking for Covid vaccine certificates in accordance with NI Executive guidance, January 2022
