Echo Echo Festival 2015

Third edition of the international festival curated by Echo Echo

Welcome 2015

Echo Echo Festival of Dance and Movement returned for a third edition from 5th to 15th November 2015 with an outstanding programme of performances involving over 60 guest artists, including ensemble work by Stellaris DansTeater from Norway, and Mirva Mäkinen and company from Finland; performances for younger audiences by Spazio Seme from Italy; new works by local choreographers Oona Doherty, Bridget Madden, and Maria Svensson; and two multinational programmes of Short Works following a huge response to the Festival Open Call. Come and see some shows and join us for a packed programme of daily classes, special performance workshops, funk soul maestros Velvet Alibi in concert, Festival Symposium on Somatics and Composition, and family-friendly Dance Picnic!

Mesmerising, invigorating performances. Dance and movement at its finest. Bravo!!  Audience feedback 2015

Festival 2015 Feedback

To my knowledge there is not another festival of this kind in Northern Ireland.  It therefore has a unique importance. I love the informality of the event, the chance to really meet and chat with the artists and the warmth of the Echo Echo team.  Audience feedback

Echo Echo is a place like no other. It is the only performance space/theatre I have attended over a long life that has such a unique and welcoming atmosphere, both for audience members and participants.  Audience feedback

Never a dull moment, it kept changing and surprising us. Beautifully done by talented artists. Very human and funny for all ages!  Audience feedback on Spazio Seme

Amazing and thought provoking – challenging norms of performance. Energy, commitment and beauty of movement and emotion.  Audience feedback on Docnite

Everyone can participate in these workshops, and this is what makes them truly special: professional dancers, children, pensioners, dance amateurs and teenagers… Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company provides the space for people to come together and relate to each other.  Audience feedback
