Well done Primary 5a from Steelstown Primary School!
Echo Echo Dance was delighted to watch the Primary 5s from Steelstown Primary perform their dance for the whole school on Tuesday 7th June 2011. The class had been working with EE dancer Janie Doherty and Kelly Nicholl for 10 weeks as part of the company's two year project with the school.

Dance Review: Re-Presenting Ireland at DDF
Both Artistic Director Steve Batts and ensemble member Bridget Madden performed original solos at this years Dublin Dance Festival as part of the Re-Presenting Ireland Mixed Bills.

A Time to Sit
One of Ursula's greatest gifts to me was her commitment to sit in stillness. A commitment I believe she stayed true to until close to the end of her life. It has offered me great comfort, solace, challenge, frustration yet most importantly a real connection with my own personal freedom.
I want to offer people the opportunity to gather and sit weekly, in a circle in the Echo Echo studio where we can spend time together in silence. There feels little need to attach any collective intention other than coming "to sit". Individuals may wish to dedicate their own personal thoughts and intentions in silence or outwardly. It is offered in the hope that we can mindfully nurture this space together.
We shall ring in the beginning at 1pm and sit for approx 30-40mins. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring along a cushion to sit on. There are some cushions and chairs available for anyone who is not comfortable on the floor.
