What does it mean to be a performer?
What story or poem does one want to tell, what image does one want to portray and give to an audience?
What is seen and what is not seen?
In the solo, "It Just Might Be Enough," different characters dance their way through poignant moments of transformation. Sensations of body and space are felt, heard and seen, and then gradually fade away. Voices and text of not one performer but two, accompany the journeys, adding layers of dialogue and ethereal song to the events on stage.
This piece explores the multiplicities of an individual and the ways in which they can be let go. It is inspired by the ideas and images of co-founder of Echo Echo, Ursula Laeubli, gathered during the months shortly before she died of breast cancer. At times humourous, at times breath-taking, "It Just Might Be Enough" was created with and dedicated to the beautiful person, Ursula.
